Economic Sustainability
Economic Sustainability is ensuring cost savings, economic growth and development and fair trade. This can be in regards to a business or a private household.
Cost Savings
This can be in regards to energy, waste reduction and recycling and reuse.
Energy in the household or at work can be reduced if laptops and computers are turned off and not left on standby, this also includes TV’s. Switching to energy efficient lights can also help reduce energy, this will provide a cost saving in the long run.
Waste reduction is another area which can help reduce costs, especially in the household. Composting food waste is a great way to save on costs, this can be put back into the garden to feed the flowers or use your little grey bins provided by the council and they will take your food waste away for you.

Fair trade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.
